The mission of Ambassadors of Conservation, under The MozParks Initiative, is the protection and flourishing of wildlife and their habitats and natural resources. Our main programs are called Rhinos Forever, Conservation Through Science, Anti-Poaching Efforts and Communities. We are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization,

Here’s are some ways you can help wild animals, and their lifestyles and habitats.

DO NOT buy products made from wild animals and exotic hard woods! If people do not buy products made from wild animals, the people who hunt and trap wild animals will have to stop making products. Products made from exotic hard woods often come from the rainforest that is home to many endangered animals. Ask if you are not sure what a product is made of and where it comes from.

Write constructive (but respectful) letters to government officials and big businesses. Express your concerns about wildlife and the environment. If enough people write, someone will listen.

Read books and magazines, watch nature programs on TV, experience a SWI wildlife presentation with your family and learn about the natural world. The more you know and understand the environment, the more you can do to help!

Share what you know about the environment and what can be done to help save endangered species to your friends and family. Modeling environmentally friendly practices (e.g. parents who recycle, pick up trash and conserve water) demonstrate a reverence for our environment.

Plant a tree. Trees provide shelter and food to animals. Trees also help fight global warming caused by the greenhouse effect, hold together soil, create shade, and make the world a more beautiful place.

Use Eco-friendly products

Take extra care when using products such as pesticides, fertilizers, etc. to make sure that they do not contain any harsh chemicals harmful to the environment. Any harsh chemicals used as a pesticide to kill insects can kill other animals such as birds,

Take care of wildlife habitat

You can help preserve the wildlife habitat by planting more trees; avoid cutting down trees, and avoiding disturbing the natural habitats of wildlife. If you own a piece of property or land, try planting more trees in it to promote wildlife habitat. Digging ponds in your property will also help the wildlife. Avoid unjustified cutting down of trees.

Take part in conservation activities

From time to time, there are events or voluntary activities in your area that you can participate in and support the conservationists. Many of the conservationist groups are looking for volunteers and support from the community. If you are generous enough, help these groups financially. There are several nonprofit organizations nationwide that needs your support, either financially or need your vote on several sustainability issues.

These are some very simple steps that you can take, which would make a big difference if we all collectively followed them. We can fight a better battle for the conservation of wildlife and preservation of endangered animals if we join forces. Together we have a better chance of protecting our nature and ecosystem.

The reals reason to conserve wildlife in the wild is to conserve the ecosystems in which the relevant animals (and plants) live, because these ecosystems provide us with clean air, clean water, food, and shelter. Forest removal has climatic effects, increases erosion and silts up rivers.

This is not a project about publicity or monetary gain, this project is simply an altruistic approach to saving one of the planet’s most iconic species.

Conservation Through Science

Embryo Plus is pioneering the use of Assisted Reproductive Techniques in wildlife species. These techniques can be used to save critically endangered species and this work is of great significance as it is the first of its kind in the world.

Anti-Poaching Efforts

Our Strategy adopted is that of ‘Early Detection – rapid reaction “. Early detection is made easier by the fact that a very secure, electrified fence has to be crossed to traverse the Park, thus providing a start point and time indicator of all incursions.

Communities

Our community empowerment projects are unique in that we work with an array of individuals, from top leadership positions, to institutions as well as families and individuals to ensure our programs benefit the largest number of people in the best way.
